Defeat Ungodly Ghosts This Halloween: How to Shape a Pumpkin
According to Celtic tradition, Halloween is when the spirit world and the world, as humans know it, comes closest together. In their eyes, this was the time of year when living humans could best converse with the dead.
On the other side of the coin, this opened the possibility of evil spirits reaching out to humans at the same time. The symbol to protect you and your family from invading spirits from the dark world is a carved pumpkin with a light inside.
However, if you don’t know how to carve a pumpkin you could be in trouble.
Basic how-to’s re: pumpkin carving
- kitchen knife

- possibly one for each member of the family
- Carve desired features in the face(s) of pumpkins
Given how important it is to protect your home and family from evil spirits, we need to get you on the prescribed pumpkin-carving path as soon as possible. Your first step is to grab pumpkins, a candle, a kitchen knife, and some newspapers.

Finally, the actual carving begins by carving a circular hole where the gourd stem signifies the top of the pumpkin is located. Though the texture is less than desirable, reach inside the pumpkin and remove all seeds and matter that are inside. After you‘ve completed the next phase, your pumpkin should have a mouth, nose, and eyes. Most people who make jack-o‘-lanterns stick to basic patterns of triangular eyes and noses, plus a mouth with square teeth. Finally, put the lit candle in the pumpkin before the evil spirits come, and now, thank heaven, you know how to carve a pumpkin!
